Toowoomba City Library are hosting displays, talks and a range of activities, guided walks and workshops during Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers. Take time to relive past Carnival memories and peruse the historical exhibits or take in a talk on Carnival’s 70 years of flowers. From guided walks to book planter workshops, there is something for everyone.

Flowers and Fun Storytime Sessions

Join us at the Toowoomba City Library for a fun and free storytime session! Your kids will love being part of the interactive stories and songs and get to create a fantastic floral creation to take home. All ages are welcome but recommended for ages 2 - 5 years.

Book Planter Workshop

Join us at the Toowoomba City Library to make a succulent or air planter out of books! Choose from a variety of books, locally grown succulents and air plants and embellishments to create an amazing green addition to your living space Proudly presented by the Friends of the City Library Toowoomba.

Guided Walks

A guided walk through the various displays in the cultural precinct. The walk will highlight various interesting aspects from the displays in the City Library, Local History Library, the Annexe, the Atrium and Art Gallery.

Digital Hub - Computer Classes

Learn how to search the TRC library catalogue to gain access to the Local History Library's rich and wonderful materials pertaining to Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.

White Gloves Experience

Get up close and personal to some of our Carnival treasures. Take your time perusing brochures from the 1950s and 60s and enjoy the opportunity to have a closer look at our extensive Carnival collection.

Films and Images

Take a seat in the library reading lounge and enjoy the fashions, floats, flowers and festivities from Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers' past. Be transported back in time with images and films from previous Carnival parades and events.

Photos, Artefacts and Keepsakes

Enjoy 70 years of Carnival memories from this colourful display featuring delightful photos, artefacts and keepsakes from the past. See past queens, floats and all the Carnival fun from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s.

Join Andrew for an insight into the fascinating Carnival films created by the late Bob Dorricott. Bob's rare and interesting work will be on show in the library reading lounge during Carnival.
