Queens Park

Queens Park is the hub of Carnival with the Heritage Bank Festival of Food & Wine, Sideshow Alley and the finishing point for the Grand Central Floral Parade.

Cnr Margaret & Lindsay Sts –  Heritage Bank Festival of Food & Wine (21-23 Sept)

Cnr Margaret & Hume Sts  –  Sideshow Alley (21-23 Sept)

Cnr Hume & Godsall Sts –  Grand Central Floral Parade finishing point (22 Sept)

Cnr Campbell & Lindsay Sts – Free floral displays in Botanic Gardens (21-30 Sept)

Queens Park has retained the charm and character common to 19th century public parks and botanic gardens. It’s like stepping back in time. While it’s meticulously tended all year round, Queens Park puts on a special show for her visitors during Carnival. The much-loved Queens Park is probably most recognised for the beautiful camphor laurel lined avenue. But there’s something to behold wherever your eyes take you including bright flower beds, large canopies of stately trees and acres of expansive green lawns. Plus there are two playgrounds to delight the kids and an off-leash area that keeps the local dogs very happy and waggly.
