Julia Busuttil Nishimura

Julia Busuttil Nishimura is a Melbourne-based cook, food writer and Italian teacher who has gained a strong and loyal following for her uncomplicated and seasonal food. Her debut cookbook *Ostro* was released in September 2017. It quickly found itself at number 1 at independent bookstores around the country and received wide praise from the likes of Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson and Australian Gourmet Traveller.

Her interpretations of dishes from Italy and the Mediterranean feel both timelessly familiar and altogether fresh and new. She celebrates simple food that is comforting and generous in spirit, championing local and seasonal produce.
