Our Regional Feast

Savour the flavours of our regional story with local producers, cafes and restaurants serving their signature dishes throughout the festival, day and night. From freshly brewed espresso and decadent desserts to spicy dishes and gourmet cuisine, this is the place to wine, dine and soak up the atmosphere.

It’s a seasonal feast with one of the best showcases of Darling Downs produce you’ll find. Not only can you taste it, but bring your carry bag as there are lots of local delicacies you can stock up on to savour at home.

Boutique Wines

Take yourself on a wine tour through more than 20 local award winning and boutique wineries at the festival. This is the opportunity to taste wines, meet the passionate winemakers and learn how to match your wine with food. Whether you like a light crisp white, delicate dessert or full bodied red, you’ll find a great selection from these beautiful family-owned estates. You may even discover specialty varieties you’ve never tasted before.

Farm to Plate

Farm to Plate is where our regional food story comes to life! Don’t miss your opportunity to see, sample and taste our finest regional produce from 10am to 4pm each day.

Want more? Live food and cooking demonstrations will be taking centre stage each day in the Farm to Plate pavilion.

The Gallery Space

The creative heart of the Ergon Energy Flower, Food and Wine Festival is Gallery Space.   This magnificent gallery tells our regional story through floral displays, creative installations, couture fashions and visual art displays created by designers and artists. This contemporary space is rich in colour, with bright, striking palettes that will invigorate and enliven your senses.

Floral Design competition

The Gallery Space is also home to the Floral Design Competition. Now in it’s 9th year, the Floral Design Competition has established a firm reputation as one of Australia’s premier annual floral design events, increasingly attracting loyal and high calibre participants as well as emerging talent. One thing you can be certain of, competition will be fierce as flower lovers from all over Australia converge on Toowoomba with the goal of taking out the top award.

Ready, Steady, Snip!

It’s designer against the clock in this fun, round robin, floral design competition.

Each designer needs to craft a unique floral masterpiece, using only the limited selection of resources provided, all within a time limit.

The showdown finale will see two floral designers go head to head to each create an amazing table setting for 4-6 guests.

Watch out for flying flowers and foliage! Who will get your vote?

The floral design spectacular continues with Changing Blooms , where floral designers create a series of floral scenes that intertwine and unfold progressively during each day of the festival. Each designer is given identical materials to work and their only limit is their imagination.

The Garden Space

Take a wander down the garden path in The Garden Space for the latest trends in gardening and innovative landscaping, pick up the latest in outdoor design with home wares, sculpture and outdoor furniture.

Hand Made in Country

Our region is home to many gifted and talented artisans.   The Handmade in Country markets feature a beautiful selection of hand made products from milliners, textile artists and silversmiths as well as gorgeous hand-made crafts and gifts.

Plus, the Cobb+Co Museum presents live demonstrations performed by the Hand Made In Country Artisans Network, giving you the opportunity to learn as you watch masterpieces come to life, or if you prefer, you can get hands-on with some of our creative activities.

Take the time to explore the fresh cut flower market and speak with our friendly team on how to best care for your blooms.

Don’t miss the chance to take home a genuine, unique handmade gift and of course, an enormous bunch of fresh flowers!

Culture to Couture

A new addition to the Gallery Space, Culture to Couture takes textiles and other materials produced in our region and transforms them into fashion. You will be simply amazed at the creative brilliance of these clever designers as you see how their original sketches and concepts translate into designer fashion pieces.

Explore the Play Space

The Play Space is an amazing area especially designed for children. We welcome children of all ages to come and play, design, build, discover, draw, dig, cook and create!

This year, there’s a dedicated 3 day children’s program, with an impressive line-up of live shows to get the kids swinging.

Become a wiz in the kitchen with the Woolworths Fresh Food Kids in the Kitchen workshops and learn with green thumb guru, Brian Sams.

Little Bob the Builders can put their skills to the test with the Bunning’s DIY Workshops and create a garden box. There are hands on creative activities with Kath Dickson Family Centres and a real teddy at the Teddy Bear’s Picnic (don’t forget to bring your own teddy bear with you).

Junior explorers can get up close and personal with native wildlife from your backyard and beyond with Geckoes Wildlife.
