Now in its eighth year, the Ergon Energy Flower, Food & Wine Festival is firmly established as a Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers favourite.  Held over three days in scenic Queens Park, the Festival offers a delicious showcase of gourmet food and wine experiences, floral design, art installations, live entertainment, interactive workshops, children’s activities and much more!

Visitors can see the crème of Australian floral designers at work as part of the annual Floral Design Competition, pick up landscaping and gardening tips from onsite experts, savour tempting restaurant menus featuring regional specific produce and wines whilst also taking in three full days of live entertainment with performances by local and headline Australian artists.

This year’s Festival will feature a number of highlights including a fresh flower market and floral design displays from leading international, interstate and local floral designers.  In addition to the Festival’s landscaping display component, horticultural enthusiasts and green thumbs will enjoy the opportunity to take part in the Festival’s intimate guest lectures and interactive gardening workshops.

Regional food and wine experiences will again be a major feature of this year’s Festival.  Taste the unique and innovative menus of regional restaurants and cafes or perhaps indulge in some wine sampling as you relax in the Festival’s ambient food court.  To complete your Spring gourmet affair, be sure to explore the many Signature Dishes offered by Festival exhibitors, expertly matched to a complementary regional wine.

The interactive children’s garden will provide hours of entertainment for younger visitors to the Festival, while bigger kids will be kept busy with the two stages of live entertainment and exhibitions from the Toowoomba Art Society and Toowoomba & District Woodcrafters.

Entrants in this year’s Floral Design Competition will apply their skill and talent to the theme of “contrasts” with both individuals and teams partaking. Click here for further information.

Of course, the Festival will feature many more activities and program highlights, tailored to delight a diversity of tastes.  Be sure to download your FREE Festival Program once it becomes available in September.

A Message from our Sponsor

Ergon Energy is proud to support the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, one of Queensland’s iconic events, for the 12th consecutive year.

Of course, it is our sponsorship of the Ergon Energy Flower, Food & Wine Festival that is our best recognised contribution to the annual celebration and we again look forward to greeting thousands of locals and visitors at this special event.

Like the Carnival as a whole, the Ergon Energy Flower, Food & Wine Festival is a true community event which brings together businesses, industries, residents, community groups, volunteers and visitors.

Ergon Energy is pleased to support and be involved in events such as the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers because it enables us to contribute in another way to the lifestyles of our local communities − the same communities in which we live and work.

Ergon Energy also continues to invest heavily in the Toowoomba region to build and maintain infrastructure capable of meeting the demand for power from the growing population. Additionally, Ergon Energy is one of the region’s major employers and our staff members look forward to celebrating with the rest of the community throughout the Carnival and, especially, at the Ergon Energy Flower, Food & Wine Festival.
