Where is the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers?

The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is a 10 day festival consisting of 15 events, plus over 60 community-run events. Events are located at different venues across Toowoomba city and the surrounding regions. For individual event locations and details, please visit the event page on the website.

Can I bring my dog?

Dog owners are permitted to bring their dog to public parks and gardens provided they are on a leash. For safety reasons, dogs aren't permitted into the Heritage Bank Festival of Food & Wine or any other events.

Can I bring food or drink in to the Heritage Bank Festival of Food & Wine?

Outside food and drink are not permitted due to Food and Liquor Licensing laws. All food and drink will be confiscated at the entrance by security.

Can I bring chairs into the Heritage Bank Festival of Food & Wine?

Attendees are more than welcome to bring chairs, picnic rugs and other portable seating with them into the Festival.

Do you accept Companion Cards?

Companion cards are accepted and a carer can enter the Heritage Bank Festival of Food and Wine free of charge. Please show your valid card at the entrance.

Can I transfer my Heritage Bank Festival of Food & Wine ticket to another day?

As per the terms and conditions of the ticket, Heritage Bank Festival of Food & Wine tickets are non-transferable. Please ensure you select the correct day you wish to attend when purchasing a ticket.

Can I buy my Heritage Bank Festival of Food & Wine ticket at the gate?

It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to pre-purchase your tickets online. Tickets have sold out at the gate for the past 3 years so to ensure you have a ticket for the day of your choice, please pre-purchase. Online ticketing opens at 9:30am on the 24th April 2018.

Can I get a refund for my Heritage Bank Festival of Food & Wine ticket?

As per the terms and conditions of the ticket, Heritage Bank Festival of Food & Wine tickets are non-refundable. The event goes ahead rain, hail or shine.

What is the refund policy on other tickets?

The terms and conditions for other tours and events vary. Please read the terms and conditions carefully prior to purchasing a ticket.

Can I transfer my tour ticket to another day?

Provided more than 24 hours notice is given and there are available spots, it might be possible to transfer your tour ticket to another day. Please contact the Carnival team at info@tcof.com.au

Can I buy a concession ticket?

The concession ticket type can be purchased if you possess a valid Australian student card, seniors card or pension card.

Is there disabled access to Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers?

All of the public parks and gardens have disabled access facilities. Most of the main events have disabled access and disabled access parking. For more information, please email info@tcof.com.au

Where can I park?

Limited parking is available at each of the event sites and public parks and gardens. For a stress-free alternative, take the Park Shuttle Bus. Park at the designated parking location at Picnic Point (Heller Street Park) and let the shuttle driver do all the hard work. The circuit includes Picnic Point, Queens Park Botanic Gardens, CBD Bus Interchange and Laurel Bank Park.

Where can I find more information on Toowoomba accommodation?

The Toowoomba Visitor Information Centre, located at 86 James St, offers a wealth of knowledge on local hotels, motels, apartments and camping grounds. They also receive regular updates on accommodation vacancies. For advice on accommodation, please call the Information Centre on 1800 33 11 55. It is highly recommended that you book accommodation as early as possible, as it tends to book out over the 10 days of Carnival.

What is the dress code for Qantas Gala Dinner?

The dress code is cocktail attire so party-ready dresses for ladies and suits for men.

When is the Grand Central Floral Parade?

The 2018 parade is on Saturday 22nd September and begins at 3pm.

How much is it to see the Grand Central Floral Parade?

It is free to attend the parade.

Can I reserve seating for the Grand Central Floral Parade?

Seating is reserved for coach groups only.

You are more than welcome to bring your own chair or picnic rug to view the parade. Ensure you get there early to secure a good spot.

What are the addresses of the private gardens?

Private gardens can enter The Chronicle Garden Competition to showcase their creativity during the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers. Winners are announced on Friday 21st September in the Toowoomba Chronicle newspaper, as well as the list of all other private garden addresses. Please purchase a Chronicle newspaper from the 21st September for the list of winners and addresses.

Are the gardens free to visit?

The public parks and gardens, such as Queens Park Botanic Garden, Laurel Bank Park, Picnic Point Park, Newtown State Rose Garden, USQ Japanese Garden, Peacehaven Botanic Park and Boyce Gardens are all free to visit. The private gardens that are part of the Chronicle Garden Competition are also free to visit and are open between the hours of 9am and 5pm during the 10 days of Carnival. The four Toowoomba Exhibition Gardens, usually past competition winners, ask for a small entry fee.
